DA>úWhile Quicken produces nice screens and graphs....It seems to be
DA>úvery time consuming....After all, you HAVE TO be sitting in front
DA>úof your computer to do it. And sometimes when I am writing out a
DA>úcheck I am not in the room with my computer....
DA>ú...which means I HAVE TO keep a paper register as well... And this
DA>úseems to work against the 'ease' of keeping Quicken...
There are two solutions to your problems...
1. Purchase printer generated cheques, and let Quicken do all
the work..., and all you need to do is sign the cheques and
   stick them in an envelope.
2. If you dont wish to spend the money on computer generated
cheques, setup Quicken to print cheques anyway, and let
Quicken print the information out on a BLANK sheet of paper,
which you can then use to hand-write your regular cheques.
Either way, it prevents the need for keeping a paper cheque
register. In other words, process and write your cheques INSIDE
Quicken to make sure that account are kept up to date, and THEN
do the actual cheque-writing process..., either on printer
cheques or by hand.
