My grandparents have a membership at a local health club and we started going
with them as guests. Then they bought us a membership. It's a family
thing...we
go swimming, then they usually take everyone who shows up out to lunch
afterwards. I have a pretty strong extended family on my mother's side :)
I hope the skating is the same time this coming year. That would be
perfect...starts right after I drop off or pick up Teresa (I don't know yet
f
she'll be morning or afternoon kindergarten :-/) and ends just in time for me
to get home for my son at 2:30.

Cool :) I was looking into some of the special "homeschool" courses that the
park system has and they were pretty good, but waaaay over our budget! A
coop-type class might fill that place nicely. The way the law's written, I
have
to check in with them once a week anyhow. I'm going to take that "qualifying"
course as soon as we can afford it ($120 at TCC) so that I'm not tied down to
that quite so much...
Right now, I'm getting ready to convert the room in our garage that my
sister-in-law just moved out of into a "library/classroom". I figure that
ill
give them more of a sense of "school" and help them to focus. Eleanor is
particularly excited about the idea because we will be moving her desk, which
has been buried due to lack of space in the house, into there to use as a
table. It's a big metal office type desk that my husband pulled out of the
dumpster at work a few years ago. It's amazing the things that just get
hrown
out!
                               ...peace...
