Oh, I think I've misunderstood you.  I thought you were wanting to know how to
browse directories in order to implement it in DirMaster...  Or wanting to know
how to control a 1581 drive.

I just checked and DirMaster already has the ability to traverse upwards to the
previous directory.  There is a button "Change to Parent Directory" on the
toolbar.

Sorry!  *lol*

BTW, there is still the bug I mentioned in DirMaster where the directory
listing isn't shown properly for directories.  Never mind.
