I've played a little bit more.....

The problem with the runbbs.sh script is that there is a major pause after
giving the password.  Up through that point everything is running
correctly.  Once the password is given, the system "hangs" for a
minute or two....  And then takes off normal.....  Hmmmmm.....

Did you see this on your system initially?  Is it possible that I need to
run maid on some files that the login processing tries to display?  If so,
which ones?
