OK, I stand corrected. In my systemm, binkd does nothing with the packets other
than move them from one system to another. I let the tosser handle the est. I
see no added value in deploying binkd's very limited capavilities to do
something with packets on top of that.

I still say: there is no reason to limit the binkd session password to 8
characters just becasue the packet password has that limitation.
