 Meaningless... The first is using a gmail web page (a gmail controlled
client application) that runs ON a gmail server sending to your ISP server.
This tests nothing with regards to having a non-gmail client (exim on the
R-Pi) sending via the gmail server.

 Have you set gmail to allow unsecure applications?
