You know it just occured to me that George W. Bush is the 
first President in my memory to employ his White
House press secretary as an English language translator - interpreter.

Thing about it for a moment.

Didn't Tony Snow come out and tell us what George W. Bush *meant*
when he said Iraq was just a comma?

And didn't Tony Snow come out and tell us that what George W. Bush
_really_ meant when he said "stay the course" he meant on to
victory in Iraq 
by adapting new strategies to deal with the Iraqi insurgency?

Hey, another case of budgetary responsibility on the federal
level combining language translator, interpreter and White House
press secretary all into one.

Great going Mr. President.

I recall as well it was suggested the media cost Gerald Ford a second
term by making fun of his clumsiness.
Fortunately we don't have any such kind of problem with George W. Bush.

Now don't get complacent and start "dwaddling" but get out there and stump
for a continued Republican Congress.
