RW> The overflow tank is vented to atmosphere. That's where anything that RW> would have blown the cap off went to. Did you check the road that she RW> traveled for signs of 'goop? I didn't really notice anything on the road, but there was a puddle of the goop under the truck where she pulled over. It was running down the side of the motor, grill, bumper, underside of the hood, etc. Smoke was also everywhere from it getting on the engine and exhaust manifold. She called me and was on the phone not soon after it happened. She told me the truck was smoking really bad and smelled. I asked her what the temp gauge showed - and once she told me it was close to the red line, I just told her to pull over when you can and park it and I'll meet you there. At that point, the upper hose must have already been snapped. - Mark --- WWIVToss v.1.50* Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 620 848 953 @PATH: 261/1304 1 266/512 140/1 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
