I recently had that just thing happen to me (and the others at a Darrell 
McCall concert I was a guest at). The sound system had double-loaded 18"'s in 
"W" cabinets for low-end response and the soundman was giving 'em a work-out. 
He was more used to doing tejano music, which is heavier on the low-frequency 
than country.  Even Darrell complained about it.  During the break between 
the set between the live shows, the sound man put on some tejano stuff 
("Marcarena" and others, and even - Yuck!  "Achy Breaky Heart") Only thing we 
can figure out is he must have been ready to go home, cause he was trying his 
darnedest to run everyone out of there.  There were several people 
(especially some of the older folks) who left. Thank goodness there wasn't 
any seating directly in front of the cabinets, at least for 75 feet or so 
(until the end of the dance floor), or someone would have thought there was a 
tornado a brewin' (from all the air being pushed from those cabinets! I stood 
there in front of 'em for about 10 seconds to feel for myself.).
It was totally unnecessary, and the club manager eventually made his way over 
to the sound board to tell him to "turn it down!"
Darrell told the band fronting him, "Let's go back on so he will shut that 
stuff off!"
