take a look at vidomi, it's the one with the distributed encoder
application, it's windows but finding a windows machine or two really
shouldn't be that much of a problem.

As for a dedicated encode machine, so you are promoting the idea that there
are still new pc sales even for folks with 7 pc's in the house already?
