Well socialist Norway is negotiating petroleum service aggreements
with the Kurds in northern Iraq and the communist Chinese
are already receiving their oil but I wasn't aware any U.S. oil companies
had oil contracts there.

Got any URLs for American oil interest contracts in Iraq?
Other than Halliburton, Kellogg Brown and Root that is.
