I believe he is referring to the info-zip versions of the programs;
they've been avaialble for quite awhile & are available for multipe
platforms (20, I think)... I've been using them myself (zip/unzip) since
1992, on OS/2 & DOS; & continued with 'em (at least on PCs being
used for FTN) when I switched to Linux in 1998.
I've been using them with HPT (on both Linux, & freedos under
dosemu); &
on Linux, I use the following 'packer' lines:
Unpack "unzip -j -Loqq $a -d $p $f" 0 504b0304
Pack zip zip -9 -j -q $a $f
