Actually, you probably never will need any of the others below
:ZIP
:OLDZIP
is for storing the packet contents, with zero compression, so the
packets are compatible with all older versions of PKUNZIP.
Version 1.x won't decompress version 2.x compressed ZIP files.
Also go into:
Setup/Configure Mail Reader
Preferences
Default Preferences
File and String Preferences
Compress Reply Cmd (Make sure you have NOT got a PKZIP command here,
or change it to the C:\BW\BWPACK.BAT command.)
Do the same for:
Preferences
Packet Preference Override
Msg Area Preference Override
Each has a:
File and String Preferences
area with:
Compress Reply Cmd
area to check on.
If any of these are set, they will over ride the default setting.
As far as your text editor problem, pick one that you are
comfortable with.
Since I started with WordStar, I just call it with the non-document
switch from BlueWave.
Setup/Configure Mail Reader
External
Message Editor Cmd {at}C:\WS6\WS.EXE /N {at}F
Spell Checker Cmd
Terminal/Comm Cmd
Editor/Browser Cmd {at}C:\BW\LIST.COM {at}F
Tagline Manager Cmd
The "{at}" before C:\ calls a new "COMMAND.COM" for the program to
run under.
