Well I didn't say the above. What I said was that the TOS show didn't have 
the budget that TNG and the later shows did. The best references to the 
hectic and crazed TOS days is the book by Justman and Solo. An exceptional 
book and a MUST READ for any TOS fan.

I also enjoyed it emensely.. and the "Trials and Tribulations" follow up. 
They did a good job keeping the humor of the TOS show intact. Intersting 
point, "Trouble with Tribbles" Was almost not made. It was considered "NOT 
TREK" by the staff and was re-written before it was accepted into production. 
This is also mentioned in the Justman/Solo book.
