I think your confusing things ... SLIP is just a protocol link to a network 
... not a GUI protocol....  and I have some DOS programs on my board here to 
do it, I just don't know how well as I do not have the ability to use them.
In the end this will probably get way to far off topic, as only under Windows 
or OS/2 could commo be used via some kinda slip driver ....  maybe not ...
