If it were a high-mileage engine (which it isn't), 30 weight engine oil
wouldn't do any harm. But it's a newly rebuilt engine, supposedly with
tight clearances as engines are inclined to be these days, 30 weight oil
might be detrimental to bearings on cold startup days as well.
