Some motherboard and BIOS versions are not fully compatible with Novell
NetWare. Then only 16 MB are detected. In most cases the command
REGISTER MEMORY helps and has no evil side effects.

Once I had a problem with 3Com FDDI NICs that prevented NetWare from
detecting the correct amount of memory. After a ROM update on the NICs
the problem was gone and NetWare found all the memory in the system.
