 How do, Jean?

JP> Hee !. I am on the Thinkpad now and if I do the A-E keys, I
JP> get the window with the top border and it has : c:\BWAVE as opposed
 JP> to the XP-Pro machine that showed ????4?????????? ! Go search !

What version of Windows is on the Thinkpad? If it too is XP, maybe there's
a Registry glitch on the XP Pro machine. Knowing next to
*nothing* about the registry, and even less about XP, I'm afraid there's a
paltry amount of advice I can give you here.

JB> Did you ebay it? I need a slim 9.5mm, that has to replace a Fuji that
 JB> went South on me.

JP> Yes, I got it on eBay at the horendous cost of $0.99 plus S/H.

You the *man!*

Thanks for the 12.5mm offer, but it would be a small miracle if I could use
it. (It will not fit in the rig I need to use a 9.5mm drive in. If I
installed it on a failing Sony laptop, I'd have no way to get other stuff
into it. The floppy's busted on it, and the PCMCIA NIC and modem needs all
sorts of malarky to happen before they'd work. Yada, yada, yada....)

JP> 9.5mm. But these are free to you. Look for an error in posting on
JP> eBay. An error will prevent all casual readers to see what is offered.

You sneaky devil. "Thinpad" indeed!

JP> The 10 giger that I got was advertised as an iPod HD and knowing that
JP> a HD is a HD, I bid on it and I do not even own an iPod. It got
JP> formatted fine and is in use as a C:\ device in my XP-Pro system. The
JP> D:\ device gets all the apps in its 30 gigs.

I suspect the iPod uses 12.5mm then?
