05-08-05 10:26, Jean Parrot told James Bradley about Alt P. How do, Jean? JP> Hello James, we were saying ! JB> Just for yucks, I tried this when I was already reading personal mail. JB> tried to print. JP> Being the full time experimenter, I also tried the Alt-P JP> CLI and it tried to print the message. But it froze my system, I JP> had to give it the three finger salute. There is no option in BW JP> nor TSE for a USB printer so it barfs. A word to the wise ! Now THAT'S interesting! I think there's a LPT1, LPT2, ... Option, isn't there? It stands to reason though, that DOS was supplanted by Windows by the time USB was even introduced, so M$ didn't include legacy support as a matter of route. I guess you couldn't answer the "Printer is offline. Retry printing to port? Y/N" dialog with a no? (Don't quote me on my quotes though. :-) ...
