  If you have internet service that you can telnet to other areas ... you can log onto the NeverEnding BBS he carries all the fido 
echos... there is no charge and you can get immediate access... it is a 
Wildcat bbs program and a bit difficult IMHO but it is worth it to be able to 
get the mail... also you can d/l the wildcat navigator browser and that will 
make it even easier to manage the mail from fido... to go to the Neverending 
BBS use your GO command in your browser and type:
  bbs.neverending.com
that will take you right to the bbs and just follow the instruction....
This has been the only way I have been able sometimes to stay on top of 
things especially while my service to my bbs was out for a long period of 
time... and it may still happen that I will have to again use this service so 
I am playing around with it now and working on mail management... but I can 
always write more about that later... right now just getting the Crafting 
echos has been the important thing to me... I go through some serious 
withdrawl if I cant get my fido mail!!!
