subject: [teroknor] I`m Blessed

I'm very thankful to have been blessed with the family I grew up with. I've
mentioned it before, but my parents, grandparents and such provided, in my
opinion, the best possible of environments to be raised in. Disciplined,
but not overbearing. Free, but not anarcharistic. Loving, but not
smothering/abusive. Damn good, but not perfect/flawless in their own
minds. They led, taught and molded by instruct and example. A better
village of souls could not be gathered together to raise a child into a
man.

Secondly, I've been blessed with a strong and creative intellect. I've
been blessed with the ability to figure most things out...from creative
writing to personal and professional scientific exploration to the
curiosity about and the ability to interpret for myself the holy works of
many faiths.

Next, I've been blessed with a strong healthy body. Though I have abused
it with too much weight and smoking in the past, I'm working on bringing
those under control. I have developed type II diabetes...mostly from a
genetic predisposition for it (it 'runs in the family') and being
overweight for so long, but I'm also blessed with the ability with a couple
of drugs to keep my sugar mostly in control. Hopefully in the
non-too-distant future one of the several potential cures for diabetes will
pan out.

My nuclear family is also a blessing. My kids are wonderful. Hopefully
I've taken some of the lessons I learned from my parents/grandparents and
passed them along to their generation. My wife, though sexually repressed,
loves me deeply and would take a bullet for me if she thought that was
neessary. I have few real-life in-the-flesh friends outside of work, but
those I do have I love and respect and they recipricate.

My online friends I also consider a fantastic blessing. Many times they
have helped me through difficult times and 'been there' when no one else
would listen. Thank you all for your attention, caring and patience.

Peace, and long life.

Kevin.
