I have a similar function with vendors, their invoices and purchase
order amounts, and a linked table of purchase order items.
The thing depends on a master table with another linked table
AND the linked table also has imbedded multi-records.
Vendor table  shows
 a linked table of Purchase Order Numbers (bills of lading will work)
 WHICH in turn shows a form of itself which is a linked
  multi-RECORD of each ITEM NUMBER
If this is too convoluted, upload a sample of your data and I may be
able to send you back a linked result within a week.
