        Pay attention to the tense in verbs."It will work" off the
  LPT1, for you, "it did here", for me. Implying that I do not use
  LPT1 anymore, thus...USB now.

        First impressions are lasting but often wrong. No USB
  emulation possible as the data train is very different. One is
  stuck with one or the other.
