-=> Quoting Jean Parrot to Bruce Clark <=- JP> Hello Bruce ! JP> Do they have to be .txt file ? JP> I had the solution without knowing it. BC> That is part of your text editor, not part of BlueWave. JP> That is again part of the solution but a misspoke on my part. JP> I knew that TSE Jr. was part of the solution. Thanks for your time. No problem. Luckily, most of the early, small, text/document editors chose to use the original WordStar Shortcut Command Keys. I have one called TED 3.0 (Tiny Editor) that has a 64k file size limit, with a 256 character per line limit. Requires 150k of free RAM to run. Tabs are fixed at 8 column intervals. It doesn't support word wrap. It will do the KR WordStar command to insert a text file, or copy and paste text from another file. It isn't 100% WordStar compatible, and the 64k file size limit means I never spent enough time to get used to it. TED3.DOC is 28,279 bytes TED3.COM is 12,320 bytes Tiny EDitor (TED) Version 3.0 Enhanced by: D. King [72421,2215], 3/91 (V3.0); J. Galbraith, 8/89 (V2.0) Original by: T. Kihlken, PC Magazine, 11/15/88, (C) 1988 Ziff Comm. Co. WordStar came with my first computer, along with simple step-by-step instructions on how to use most features in it. Since I'm comfortable with it, I stuck with it. With version 7.0 they tried to become MS Word or WordPerfect. I went back to version 6.0. I even tried the Win3.1 version, I decided the word processor in a Windows publishing program works better, and offers more features. Other then that, I'll stick with the DOS WS v6.0 for document and nondocument text work. ___ Blue Wave/386 v2.30 --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5a* Origin: BBS Networks {at} www.bbsnets.com 808-839-6036 (1:10/345) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 5030/786 @PATH: 10/345 106/1 2000 633/267 |
