I learned of some of those C=64 Add Ons by going to some Links posted in
this echo.
I haven't bought any of them but I'm glad to know they are available
if I got interested in getting any of those items.

I don't use the C=64 very often anymore, but still have it set up here.

When I got the C=64 and the 1541 Drive at K-Mart I also bought
a VicModem 300.

The 300 speed wouldn't let me read all of the messages on a BBS before
it would Time Out and I'd have to wait and Log On again later that day.

I read that the C=64 could run at 2400 with a higher speed modem so I
bought a Packard Bell 2400 External Modem and a RS-232 Adapter.
I never was able to get a 2400 connection with it, but it would connect
at 1200 so that speed was 4 times faster than the VicModem 300.

When I got a 28.8 USRobotics Sportster Vi External Modem the C=64 still
connected at 1200 with it, but when I used it with the 486 box I got
28.8 connections with it.
