It compiled fine.  Running it is a whole other can of worms though.  I
haven't seen a program freeze up like that since the last Windows box I
looked at!  ;-)

I don't think this is an issue in Linux.  I say ditch it.  A modified
telnetd would be more appropriate in Linux methinks no matter serial,
network interface, whatever.  Take a look at the c-kermit and you'll see
what I mean.
