I wasn't even talking about questioning how many people it actually takes
to manage how many machines in reality. What I was pointing out was that
first they quote some bullshit study that claims a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio then
they turn that into a 100:1 ratio. Read what I quoted again and make note
of what I'm pointing at then decide for yourself.

Personally I don't believe you can determine these numbers reliably, it's
more a function of the admin than the OS. Admins who spend their time
putting out fires can't manage near as many machines as admins who spend
their time resolving the issues that start the fires.
