   Not a problem;  depending on which software you're talking about...
   mgetty itself does not handle outbound calls;  that is done by whatever
program needs to do so (ifcico, uucico, wvdial, etc...)  But it also does
not get in the way of a properly set up program that wants to make an
outbound call...  All it does is watch for inbound calls, decide how to
handle them (if at all) by the type of call, & dispatch it that way...

   Except for times that I've had to use BBBS/Li direclty on the port, which
doesn't handle shareing the serial port properly;  I've always used mgetty
to watch & dispatch the inbound calls to the modem...
