Then you will find that many apps won't run. Check out Andrew Schulman's "Undocumented DOS" book. For example he writes about TSRs - "The documented facilities are insufficient for writing TSRs that, once resident, make INT 21h DOS calls. .... it is well known in the PC programming community that one must use undocumented DOS in order to properly write the vast majority of TSRs". Companies like Digital Research spend millions on producing a "compatible DOS" product and they still have problems with apps that don't function quite as they should. Do you really think you could do better? mgm --- timEd 1.00+ SD®¯Ž%* Origin: Tardis BBS +61 3 819-7093 (3:633/260) SEEN-BY: 50/99 54/54 624/102 632/348 386 998 633/260 262 371 635/502 503 544 SEEN-BY: 640/316 670/206 690/718 711/430 807 808 809 929 934 942 712/623 SEEN-BY: 713/888 800/1 @PATH: 633/260 371 635/503 50/99 54/54 711/808 809 934 |
