Have you been sure on having a place for the fido.lock file and named so
you know the name og the lock file.
Check this out nad se if hpt makes a lock file by running, hpt usng lot of
time to scan all echoes through and can make some errors when run "hpt
scan" there not delete the lock file after some times scanning the
echoes wehn finish with.
instead of run hpt scan try run hpt pack and it do too the scan of echoes.
