Funny how that worked out.  All the so-called new technology here is
employing methods I was using almost 20 years ago now.   Text messaging
with handhelds comes to mind.  I laugh everytime someone shows me that and
how well it works.  ;-)

Again, how many actually do that?  Jam?  Squish?  Are they even able to
deal with anything remotely like that?

My best guess is extremly few if any at all and it will never improve. 
I've seen no indication, especially not in this echo, that there will EVER
be a change for the better.  It'll never happen unless someone(s) makes it
happen.
