I've been using Quicken since version 3 for DOS, and I only keep my records
in the computer. If I'm writing a check when away from the computer, I
simply put the check # and store name on the receipt, and punch it into
Quicken when I get home.
When I go on vacation, I load Quicken's current data into my Laptop, and then
run off the laptop until I get home, then transfer the data back to my
desktop unit.
