Sometimes science is just doesn't apply. Consciousness hasn't been assigned
any quantum states nor anything else except possibility the binary off/on
states. With reincarnation we have the problem of continuity of
consciousness, continuation of memory. Reading some mystical descriptions of
this, it is not certain that reincarnation includes this. But then what does
it include?
... Life after death? No way, if you're still alive you haven't died yet.
