Dear Joan,
    I find the yard sales to be a better place to get jackets to
salvage.   At flea markets and resale shops [including ones like
Salvation Army ] they are too high in price.  I must have 30 jackets
piled up, and i never pay more than $5 for one.  I have paid as little
as $1.  Frayed cuffs or a burn or tear are of little importance when you
plan to salvage anyway.  Don't forget the possibility of leather skirts.
I got a pigskin one once, my! what a lovely piece of goods.
