That is exactly what I am doing right now, minus the QWK.  This message is
from my point off of 1:153/401 which is my node.  It is a Squish/Msged
setup.  I have another point doing hpt/Msged off of 1:153/401 (.2) from
Germany.  Also I have a point at 1:261/38 (.9) which I run from hpt/Msged. 
So far it all works great but had a bit of a problem with the node setup,
routing mostly, until I switched it all to Squish.

What I'd like is a QWK door on the 1:153/401 node so that users can do
offline from there.  That would give the option of doing Fido without point
setups, not that I personally have a problem with points.  Options are
good.
