Hi.     ...So like, why haven't I been writing in MooseChat, lately?

                   ...Well, I sorta messed up, in that I kinda lost
track of time, and I now find myself long overdue on the MooseChat
participation front.  Things were going along so "swimmingly" in March
and April, what with many of the remaining MooseChat regulars writing
messages, that I got a little complacent and put-off writing.  Then,
time just seemed to slip away.

In the "time flies when you're having fun" department, I'll mention
that I did get sucked into some extensive message exchanges in the
kingston.bbs.fido.users249 newsgroup.  For some reason a discussion
about either _Lord of the Rings_ and/or messages tracking the careers
of up-and-coming actresses can, well, catch a bachelor moose's
attention.  This also seems to hold true for married male meese, as
long as they're fairly sure their other halves will not be bothering
to read online message areas.

As well, recently a probably spurious rumour about a MaxiMoose BBS
port to Unix or Linux surfaced in "Users249."  So, all that was
distracting, and Lord knows I'm easily distracted.

Meanwhile, all this talk about "that" FidoNet echo which is gated to a
newsgroup reminds me that it's almost time to wrap up consideration of
whether to invade the alt.moose UseNet newsgroup.  I'll wait a few
more weeks for any last-minute feedback, and then sum up how the
situation seems to stand.

In passing, some "real world" events over the last couple months also
contributed to a drop in MooseChat message volume originating from my
node.  Still, I'm sure that both Saddam and Guido will soon be back
writing messages.

So anyway, here's a GRONK! and the promise of more messages in the
near future.  As usual, if I'm replying to messages written several
months ago, I will quote back extensively.  Aside from helping folks
to remember what they wrote, the quoting also helps with our "reuse
and recycle messages" campaign!
