That's okay for a non-mobile PC.

For my main PC at home, external speakers, and that's only for games.  I
extremely rarely ever play music on any of my PC's.  For the other PC's, I
either disable sound or use the internal speaker.  When I played DVD's on
my PC I outputted the sound to my stereo system and I have played some with
playing DVD's on my laptop, and for that's I'd use headphones. (The DVD
drive is in the Ultrabase, kind of a second slab that can attach to my
laptop to give a device bay, floppy, serial, parallel...)
