Yes. In fact, you can include a file of any name, but .h is the convention.

Include files typically include only definitions and declarations, but
rarely any code which produces code (as a matter of style and sensible
programming practices). This includes structure definitions, #define's and
so forth.

Object files include executable code and/or data. Include files typically
contain declarations which pertain to code/data in other object files.
