JV> So tell me, how long have you heard the voices?
I've been delerious for a while... Sick with fever and stuff...
Anything that glows would've made me happy at that point. :)
JV> As I understand it, if you're hearing voices from inside, you are either
JV> a manic depressive in crisis or have more than one personality. If you
JV> hear voices from the outside telling you weird stuff (rocks, demons, the
JV> Beatles talking to you) then you're schizophrenic.
It was Ringo!!! I swear! He told me to!
JV> Since the voices were telling you something that was clearly nonsense, I
JV> can only tell you to get to a hospital quickly. Schizophrenia is
JV> treatable with medicine :)
I took a few Sudafed Cold & Sinus caplets. I'm set. :) Gimme a Pro
Sonic any day. :)
JV> Seriously, why do you want one? Tell me what you're looking for out of
JV> it.
At some point while I was sick and just exhausted, and I was thinking
like Homer Simpson. "Mmmmmm... Tubes..." :>
JV> Ask Lee :)
Will do!
Lee? You out there, buddy? :)
JV> There's one company (Hoffman) who makes parts kits for an AC30, tweed
JV> Deluxe, and one or two others. Check Vintage Guitar for their ads. I
JV> think they run about $150 and you'll need a speaker and cabinet at
JV> least.
I'm looking for something with sweet early Fender tone. :)
Do those kits include power and output transformers? If so, I wouldn't
mind going for a Deluxe. Building the cabinet would be no problem, since my
dad-in-law is a carpenter. :)
JV> I'mnot familiar with that amp, but I think it's always a good idea to
JV> build things, if only as an expensive learning tool. I'll also
JV> recommend the 5F1 circuit, if you go that way.
It's a small Crate practice amp with an 8" speaker. I could probably
sqeeze a 10" into it, but would really prefer a 12".
Which is the 5F1 circuit? Is that the tweed preamp circuit?
