Thank you, thank you, thank you! I don't know what else to say.
CS>>Bzzt! Wrong. You don't have the "original" and you should have
CS>>TWIT capability, although probably limited to the sender's name.
CS>>While in SLMR, try hitting Alt-P, then select "Twits" and add
CS>>(Alt-A, I think) ...
You are so right! I tried it! It gave me that plus lots of other
things. I never could find any reference to those things in the
help menus. Maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough. I can't believe
I've had this non-original version (you're right about that, too!) of
SLMR all this time and NEVER knew I could do all these neat things
with it. When I want to save things to use later in my canine
newspaper (like cute stuff written in the Doghouse Echo that the
posters say I can convert from a message to an article), I use the
main menu bar of SLMR to do a save to the GEOS desktop as a DOS icon
ASCII text file for import later.
CS>>However, this will NOT prevent you from being able to read
CS>>Sam's cross-posts of Helmar's tirade's, unless you twit Sam...
I would *never* twit Sam. He's my *friend* and besides I *like*
reading his posts. I'll just keep on doing what I've been doing
which is pressing the "next" button when I see Helmar's name as
poster of something unless I'm in the right mood to deal with
reading it.
Good luck with a successful finish to your Internet installation.
You've been working on this project a long time, and I am glad it
is about to get up and running.
