RP> Guess you can kiss the Clipper stuff goodbye forever now, even though
RP> Jeff Jochum is now CEO of Luxent.
AT ->This is not the case. Acker Freeman Association bought the rights
->of many Clipper utilities, of which one is the SixDriver. The
->update to version 3.02 was done by them. An upgrade to
->version 3.5 is in the works.
Well now, that's right interesting! I'll have to email Al to get the
scoop on this. I know that Successware did announce they were providing
the 3.5 version before the Luxent merger, and Jeff has now said that the
3.5 upgrade will proceed as planned. It was interesting to note that in
the press release of Luxent announcing the merger of DFL and
Successware that there was absolutely no mention of Clipper.
And Al hasn't said a word about taking over the SIx Driver. Although
with what appears to be his heavy involvement in the xBase++ project,
it wouldn't surprise me to know he was trying to make this a part of
it.
I'll let you know if I find anything out.
