I think it needs a little more structure and story than just a pleasant
cruise in the swamp. (Do you remember the motorboats? Do you miss them?
Neither do I.) Permit me to sketch an outline that you in particular
might appreciate:
It's early morning in the swamp, dark as you board the boat, but dawn
greets your departure. The fog slowly begins to lift and the night
creatures are giving way to those of the daytime as you begin your trip.
You hear the same sort of banjo music drifting through the trees,
getting slowly louder, when you round a tree and find the musician
sitting on a floating log, plucking the strings with his webbed feet and
snapping an occasional fly with his tongue....
Yes, it's Kermit, and the attraction follows the Muppets' adventures in
the Great Muppet Movie. What? You say a boat couldn't follow them on
their cross-country journey? Not a problem when you have Disney
Imagineers working for you. The boat rises up out of the swamp, grows
windows, and turns into a psychodelic bus! In the final scene, it again
transforms into a balloon and floats you off over the rainbow to the
unloading area.
This is, of course, just a first draft of the concept. There are many
details to be worked out, but you get the general idea. (Hmmm, perhaps
Sam could play the part of General Idea?) Whaddya think yerself?
