That's what I typically do.  Buy the on sale synthetic for the vehicles,
and the more expensive AMS Oil for the HD.  

It costs me around $75 to change the oil on the bike (including the chrome
oil filter).  You have to change the engine oil, primary oil, and
transmission (gear) oil.  The transmission oil is a might higher weight
(75w120).
