By their definition of free, it is not possible for software that carries a
copyright to be free. Copyright by it's very nature implies restrictions on
that type of freedom. They just limit their definition so you don't see
that the restrictions are restricting you.

Any time you have to agree to a license agreement, that freedom is restricted.
