With pleasure, Rick! Centurion Ministries, address, 32 Nassau St., 3rd
floor, Princeton, N.J., 08542, Phone (609) 921-0334. CM is a non-profit,
with full time staff of 3, and volunteers. Reverend Jim McCloskey founded
it. Work on cases in U.S. and Canada. The brochure I have from them cites
12 innocent people freed from either long-term prison or death row (!). My
understanding is that they take cases only after other appeals have been
exhausted. Some of these people were mentioned in "Presumed Guilty," a book
by Martin Yant, formerly of the Ohio Dispatch (I think it's "Dispatch"
without looking it up). We know Marty Yant--specifically went to Columbus,
OH, to meet him. One heck of a dedicated man. He plans to do a story on
"our Innocent" one. As usual, for those who have a heart to help humanity,
there is no dearth of work, so they're often overworked and over-reached.
Centurion also only takes on dire cases precisely because they lack
resources. It comes down to money, perhaps, and that's why we're interested
in networking--what scattered people cannot do alone, many can. Thanks,
Rick, for advising me that PLEASE and...Child_Abuse, was it, generally don't
discuss wrongful allegations or convictions. Did you answer my other
questions--about your interests? I am at a total disadvantage until I get a
system to operate downloads. A friend gave me a message retrieval system,
but after installing, it didn't work. Meanwhile, do you believe, I have to
take notes when I read anyone's message? I will learn (or get the right
system). Thanks again. Just wrote to someone else that I asked a popular
columnist to run my request for groups or individuals interested in righting
wrongs. If that works, our list would be on it's way! Blessings.
