Hi Jean,

I have used BW in the past but SX is my reader of choice. I
have always tried to avoid my software is better than your software
arguments except in a fun way with close friends. However, the
work-arounds I suggested should work no matter which OLR one is
using.

I use a batch file to call the reader. As another way of
protecting against a loss, before calling the reader the bat contains
this line:

if exist \cdq\techndrm.opx copy \cdq\techndrm.opx g:\spare

On exiting the reader the bat file contains this line:

if exist g:\sx\techndrm.rep copy g:\sx\techndrm.rep g:\spare

If as you described, you deleted the rep BEFORE you exited the
reader, I don't know of an easy solution that problem when using
BW. Most of my experiences with lost reps involved problems while
interacting with the BBS.

    Good luck,
      Charles
