Excellent. I've installed the FreeBSD port of mgetty tonight (built from
source with Fido support) but have run out of time to play around with it.
I ended up just installing it on to my main BSD machine instead of using a
separate machine for it. Then I can basically remove a PC from my network
(yay!). Hopefully I'll get to finish the install some time this week...
it looks simple enough. I already have the modem working with WinFax so
I'd be surprised if it won't work with mgetty, and I've already set up
ifcico for FTS-1 over telnet so it should be easy to get that working over
dialup too, then set mgetty to fall to a login prompt if it's not fax/fido.
My days of wanting to run a BBS are long gone. :-)
