Hi Sam...
I started this response to you before I read the other folks responses.
I think they explained how to save/restore keyboard macros pretty well.
One hint: When I was running QEdit (now, TSE/Jr) the first thing I did
was to edit my qconfig.dat file to free up all of the control-function
keys (I moved any functions I needed to alt-function keys instead.) That
way I could define keyboard macros for all of those keys. I had separate
macros for the recipe header and footer lines, plus several others for
other purposes.
Back to my original response:
I don't remember... are you running QBook? If so, I have a whole macro
"suite" just about ready for public scrutiny;) which extracts recipes
from message files, converting most common formats to QB (MM, CC, MC,
KA); sorts files of recipes; compares recipes; works on keywords; plus
many other features... they're written for TSE Pro, though, and won't
work with TSE/Jr. If you're interested, I'll figure out how to get them
to you. (Fred Towner has a "preliminary" version, but I'll be u/l'ing
the new set to him when they're finished.)
Here's a quick example of a MM to QB conversion (all done automatically,
with no "user intervention" required):
