LS>Do you think it will be release this year (1995)? Also will it be
LS>TEXT based?
I *hope* that it will be released in 1995, but I honestly don't know.
Moving a compiler to a completely different operating system is not an
easy job. Everything we learned about calling interrupts,
allocating/deallocating memory, etc.. has to be thrown on the window
and re-thought. OS/2 opens up a LOT of possibilities. And we want to
be sure we explore them all before making final decisions on a lot of
things.
And yes, initially it will be text mode. However, I am sure that
third-party companies will use the C/ASM interface to create PM
libraries.
LS>I see the PowerBASIC BBS is running under OS/2 2.11... Are you waiting for
W
LS>Connect, before you upgrade? Release date mid July...
Nope, waiting for time to upgrade it. I am so busy working on various
projects that I don't have time to upgrade from 2.11.. And it's running
nice and smooth at the moment, so there is no big rush.
