subject: Animation job and trainin

KW> Hello every one. I am a starting animator. I do computer animations
KW> and when I get the chance some traditional animating. I am only 17
KW> and do not do major animations, just stuff for school right now. I
KW> was wondering if any of you out there know a number I can call to
KW> see about any scholarships or animation training and schools Disney
KW> has or is offering.
Disney's preferred source for animation artists is the California
Institute of the Arts, commonly called Cal Arts, in Valencia,
California. Your school guidance or placement office or any good public
library should be able to get you not only phone numbers but detailed
information about the school and available scholarships. Good luck!
KW> And if any one is wondering, A Goofy Movie and The Lion King are my
KW> favorite Disney animated movies.
The Lion King is definitely up near the top of my list, largely because
of the soundtrack and the outstanding opening act (before the title).
While The Goofy Movie has been largely ignored, as it was not an
"Official Animated Feature", I think it includes some of the best, and
some of the most subtle acting that the Goof has yet produced. With some
better backdrop art, more auxilliary action, and a better score, I think
it could hold its own with the mid-range features.
